Titans ready for the new season!

Leeds Trinity Titans are all set to embark on a record season for the club in September 2009.

For the first time ever, the Titans second team have been entered in an official BUCS affiliated league for the season, North 2. They will be competing against Leeds Uni 'A', Hull Uni 'A', York St John, Bradford Uni, Huddersfield Uni and Teeside Uni.

After their exploits in the inaugral SRL shield Knock-Out last year, Leeds Trinity Titans 'A' will surely be looking for more success in a close but tough looking league competition.

2008/9 BUCS Shield winners Leeds Trinity Titans will also look to capitalise on last years success by going one step further and winning their own tough looking league, BUCS North 1.

With away games to Sunderland, Northumbria, Newcastle, Edinburgh Napier and Durham, the Titans have their work cut out for them on the road, but with an impressive looking squad this season, nothing less than first place will be classed as a dissapointment for the Leeds based outfit.

With Pre-Season friendlies arranged against Leeds Uni and Leeds Mongrels, this years Titans will be better prepaired than ever to take on our illustrious Old Boys on Saturday October 3rd, as part of an exciting day filled with great events to raise money for the Titans charity, the Dave Cole foundation.

Coach Adrian Tallon is very much looking forward to the new season: "This year should be a very successful season for both Titans teams. The boys have looked good in the early pre-season sessions and they can't wait to get started, and what with this years freshers set to join the team on September 20th, the squad is looking very good indeed. After two final appearances last season more silverware is most definately our target for 2010."

With RLFANS carrying on as main sponsors for this season, the Titans are very pleased to welcome 'The Clothier' in Yeadon on board, who will be kindly providing after match hospitality for both teams throughout the year.

Leeds Trinity Titans student rugby league are delighted to announce that RLFANS.COM have become the clubs new main sponsors untill the end of the 2010/11 season.

The progressive club from Leeds Trinity & All Saints college in Horsforth enjoyed a great season last year, Narrowly missing out to Newcastle Uni in the play-offs, before winning the prestigous SRL tournament in Rimini, Italy and then representing Student Rugby League with pride at the inaugral Cheltenham Nines festival in May.

This year the Titans aim to continue that success, and now thanks to RLFANS.COM - Rugby Leagues biggest online community with over 30,000 members - they will be achieving that success in a brand new playing kit.
